Medicare Plans

As you enter your retirement years, Medicare will become your primary source of health insurance coverage. However, Medicare alone will not cover all of your medical expenses. Deductibles, co-insurance, and other medical expenses not covered by Medicare can be significant.

That is specifically what Medicare Supplement plans are designed for helping cover the “gaps” in coverage with Medicare Parts A and B. The plans are guaranteed renewable, and cannot be cancelled as long as the premiums are paid on time. Coverage also begins immediately. There is no waiting period for pre-existing conditions, and benefits will be paid from the time your policy is in force.

A Medicare Advantage Plan is a type of Medicare health plan offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare to provide you with all your Part A and Part B benefits. Medicare Advantage Plans include Health Maintenance Organizations, Preferred Provider Organizations, Private Fee-for-Service Plans, Special Needs Plans, and Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans.

If you're enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan, Medicare services are covered through the plan and aren't paid for under Original Medicare. Most Medicare Advantage Plans offer prescription drug coverage.
